To make a quick and effective persiana lock you will need to purchase a normal slide bolt which will fit into the bottom groove on the persiana.
Your local Chinese Multi Precio will stock them.
Remove the slide bolt from the housing, this is done by unscrewing the small handle and sliding the bolt out. You will then need to open the plastic cover at the top of the persiana and roll the persiana up to the top, and pull it through to reveal the bottom plate. Slide the bolt into the groove at the top of the plate and thread the persiana back into the channels and replace the plastic cover.
Now close the persiana mark in the outside wall where the bolt will be, open the persiana and drill into the wall, through the persiana channel, using a suitably sized drills. Close the persiana and the bolt will slide home into the wall. You have now a lockable persiana.
Close the persiana.
